warming spice granola

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a lovely time over the holidays and set yourself some exciting goals for 2019. I’m so happy to be back in the swing of blogging again and developing new recipes for you all.

My first recipe of the year is close to my heart as it’s a breakfast dish – my favourite meal of the day! For this recipe, I teamed up with East End Foods to create a delicious, spice filled granola containing lots of their delicious, high quality spices.

I combined their warming ginger powder with cinnamon, mango powder and a pinch of chilli – for a subtle kick of heat. I simply mixed these spices with rolled oats, coconut oil and agave syrup for a speedy, easy granola that’s ready in under 30 minutes!

  1. Add the oats into a mixing bowl and pour in the coconut oil and agave syrup. Then spoon in the cinnamon, ginger, mango and chilli powder. Mix everything together until the oats are evenly coated.
  2. Next, pour the oat mixture onto a baking tray, and place them into the oven to heat for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
  3. When the granola is ready, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, pour it into a jar to store – or serve.
