tea, sound baths + updates
June and July have been some crazy months for me (not complaining). I got back from LA in June seeking out my next career move and feeling more confident than ever with where I saw myself heading. June was a time for planning, beginning and preparing for these next steps, and laying the necessary foundations for where I want to go.
July so far has been a month of working, generating and creating. At the beginning of June I began writing my first e-book which I’m currently finalising. It’s been a real heartfelt project of mine and I’ve loved every moment of creating it. I can’t wait to get it out into the world. The other project I’ve been working on is growing my sound healing business. Over the past year, I’ve been specialising in hosting sound baths and healing sessions, but the next step for me is actually selling the instruments and showing people how to use them. I just invested in my first set of new bowls which has been very exciting, and they will hopefully bring joy and happiness to many peoples lives.
I also recently partnered with Tea India, a beautiful ayurvedic tea range with different teas designed to suit your unique dosha. After taking their quiz, I found that my dosha is pitta, and Tea India kindly gifted me some beautiful teas to help with balancing my dosha.
What is a Dosha? “There are three doshas in Ayurveda – vata, pitta and kapha – and we are generally influenced by a dominance of one or two of the three. Knowing yours can be the key to happiness, health and creative growth. Understanding your dosha allows you to learn how you can find more balance in your life, from the types of food you eat to the exercise you do each day. It’s all about knowing what your mind and body is naturally suited to and ultimately helps you to live a more fulfilled life!”
What is Ayurveda? “A holistic approach to life rooted in India and practised for over 5,000 years. Literally, it means, the science of life… It’s based on the idea that knowing your mind-body type (your dosha), and the behaviour best suited to this dosha – from the foods you eat to the exercise you choose – is the perfect way to sustain the mind and body’s natural state of equilibrium, or ‘balance’.”
I’ve been loving their teas. They’ve really helped me stay balanced and find a moment of peace by myself to just go and drink some beautiful tea, even on the busiest of days. I absolutely love their Coconut Chai, and I even added some of the loose tea into some energy bites that I made for my recent sound bath workshop.
We had such a beautiful event, and I was so grateful to be able to provide everyone with fresh iced tea from Tea India. I have some more exciting sound baths coming up in London with my new crystal singing bowls coming up – so stay tuned!
That’s all for now, but I look forward to sharing more news with you all very soon.
It looks like a wonderful event. I love the idea of using tea in energy bites.
Thank you Angie! Yes – they made the perfect flavour combination, just like using a mixed spice combo!! <3
It sounds like you have been mad busy – that’s such great news about the ebook, well done you!x
Thank you Chiara! <3
Great post with lots of information. Have a lovely weekend. 🙂
Thank you Puja!
June and July has been crazy for me as well, I’m happy I’m not the only one a little overwhelmed. I’m so excited to hear about your new ebook. I got to experience a sound bath in Sedona Arizona and it truly changed my life. I love that you are dedicating your life to such a powerful practice. Congrats on the new set of bowls. Do they sell Tea India in the states? I’m going to check and see, I would love to try all of the, especially the vitality and energy. Have a great week Harriet.
Oh wow, I would love to go to a sound bath in Sedona – it’s a place I would really love to visit too. I’ll find out if they sell that tea in the US! Its so delicious. I hope things have calmed down for you since the summer! <3
That tea sounds absolutely amazing! I’ve never tried coconut chai but I love chai and I love coconut so I feel like it’s hard to go wrong! 😛
It tastes so good! Let me know if you try it!
I love it!
