Crumbles are just one of those classic mid-week desserts I love to make. They’re so simple to prepare, and they taste so warming and delicious. I’ve always found them to be a fairly healthy dessert too, as they’re made from mostly fruit with just a few added touches of decadence!
What I love most about this recipe, is that it makes the ‘classic’ crumble even easier, as its topping is made from a ready prepared granola. This way, all I have to do is chop up the fruit, add in some maple, coconut butter and cinnamon, then pour the granola on top! It honestly saves so much hassle, which is great when you’re tired after a long day.
For the granola topping, I used Planet Organic’s new Raw Chocolate Granola. It’s bitter chocolate taste paired perfectly with the sweetness of the fruit, and added a lovely subtle chocolate flavour to the dessert. I’ve tried making it with other granolas too, and it also tasted amazing with Planet Organic’s Sweet Greens Granola. So, feel free to use any type of granola you like! I love to use Planet Organic’s Raw Granolas, as they are grain free and made from a mixture of different nuts, seeds and dried fruit. They honestly taste so amazing – and they give a really different texture to the crumble that’s so delicious.

I was so happy to have been able to try all of these delicious treats, as I love Planet Organic, and it’s always been a dream of mine to work with them! Everything was so beautifully made, and I devoured the chocolate goji berries and almonds within a few minutes of opening the box! They were the best raw chocolate snacks I have ever tried. I almost ate the whole box of raw salted caramel rawkin’ roons in one sitting too – they are seriously addictive. I loved each and every one of their products.
So, when it came to making this crumble, I couldn’t wait to feature Planet Organic’s products! I’ve also made a video for the recipe, which you can watch below. I hope you enjoy it!
apple, pear and berry crumble
serves about 4
2 apples (300g)
1 pear (150g)
1/2 cup (85g) raspberries (or other berry e.g. blueberries)
1 tbsp tiana’s cooking coconut butter, melted
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup (150g) granola – I used Planet Organic’s Raw Chocolate
PREHEAT YOUR OVEN TO 180C / 356 F
- Firstly, peel and core the apples and pear. Then, chop them into small cubes, about 1-2cm size. Then, using a fork or potato masher, mash up the raspberries. When this is done, add all of the fruit into a heatproof dish and stir together.
- Next, pour the maple syrup, coconut butter and cinnamon on top. Then, stir everything together again before adding the dish into the oven. Add the crumble into the oven, and bake for about 30 minutes until the fruit has softened.
- After 30 minutes has passed, remove the dish from the oven and scatter the granola on top. Then, move the crumble back into the oven and bake for a final 5-10 minutes or so, until golden. When the crumble has baked, remove it from the oven and serve.
